Welcome to 546 Leopard Rd. A premier property in Berwyn which was extensively rehabbed and completed in 2016. Starting with the exterior, the roof on the left side of the house was demolished and raised to make way for a new master suite with two walk in closets and an upstairs laundry room. The entire roof, siding, windows, front door, garage door and landscaping have been replaced. Exterior is a maintenance free combination of vinyl, metal and aezek trim. Inside, the living room, dining room, kitchen and entry way were gutted to the studs. The kitchen was reconfigured, removing walls to accommodate for an island and new dining area. New cabinets with granite countertops and Bosh appliances were added. The hardwood floors were replaced in the main living space and added to the kitchen. Windows have been enlarged in the dining area and a slider was added to the back of the house. All new plumbing ? yes all plumbing was removed and replaced. Interior lines were upgraded from the original 1/2' inch service to 3/4" resulting in a greater volume of water throughout the entire home through a new Pex system. The old oil burner was also removed and replaced with a natural gas line for greater efficiency. The primary heating is natural gas ( a new boiler system was designed and installed) with three zones including a combination of forced hot air and radiant heating. The first floor dining, living and kitchen areas and the upstairs master suite are forced hot air and there is radiant heat in the lower level and the master bath. Baseboard heat remains in the 4 existing bedrooms and the two additional bathrooms. Upstairs, the two family area bathrooms were gutted and reframed to make better use of the space. All new tile and plumbing with Kohler and Grohe fixtures as well as the new baseboards. The existing hardwood floors in the hallway and 4 bedrooms were sanded, re-stained and sealed. Interior doors and hardware were replaced. The fabulous master suite brings this house up to current standards by adding a master bathroom with two sinks and two large walk in closets. Recessed lighting in the master bedroom and bathroom area provide plenty of light. Tile floors, Bertch cabinetry and Kohler fixtures complete the bathroom. The laundry room has been moved from the first floor to this level to make weekly chores just a little more convenient. All this on a fabulous private 1.2 acre level lot that backs up to a protected wood area.
